Alkalization treatment method for straw
2023-02-13
Caustic soda solution treatment. Caustic soda, also known as sodium hydroxide, is used at a rate of 4-5 kg per 100 kg of straw. It is dissolved in 80-100 kg of water and left at room temperature for 8-10 hours before use. Alternatively, a caustic soda solution can be used to spray, moisten, mix, and compact crushed straw into block-shaped feed for long-term use.
Caustic soda solution treatment method. Caustic soda, also known as sodium hydroxide, uses 4-5 kg of caustic soda per 100 kg of straw, dissolved in 80-100 kg of water. Allow to stand at room temperature for 8-10 hours before use. Alternatively, the crushed straw can be sprayed, moistened, mixed, and pressed into blocks using a caustic soda solution for long-term use.
Lime solution treatment method. For every 100 kg of chopped straw, use 1-2 kg of quicklime, 200-300 kg of water, and 0.5-1 kg of salt. Mix well and pile on a cement floor for 24-36 hours before use.
Mixed solution treatment method. Lay the whole straw in a layer 15-20 cm thick. Spray with a mixture of 1.5% caustic soda and the same concentration of quicklime, ensuring the straw reaches about 70% water content. Compact, then lay and spray layer by layer. Spray 80 kg of mixed solution per 100 kg of straw. Allow to stand for 7-10 days before use.
Ammonia water treatment method. First, chop the straw and pack it tightly into a pit. Then, irrigate 12 kg of 25% ammonia water solution or 19 kg of 15% ammonia water solution per 100 kg of straw. The pit temperature should not be lower than 20 degrees Celsius. Seal and store for 5 days, then remove and air dry until the ammonia smell disappears before use.
